Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Yesterday I played this game for about 12 hours straight with only one thing to say about it: it’s really fun. Anyone who’s been around since the N64 days has probably heard of this game and for those who don’t, it’s easily described as a fun and random fighting game with many familiar Nintendo characters that you might just remember from your childhood (assuming you weren’t a kid before the 1970s-80s).

This time around there’s 35 Nintendo characters to choose from and a 6-7 hour long adventure mode. There’s also a few “time-trial” modes for additional challenge. The first is Break the Targets; There’s 5 different stages with 10 targets on each one which the goal is to break them as fast as possible. The other mode is Home Run Contest; this involves beating the crap out of a sandbag to hit it with a home run bat and send it flying for a new record.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is too awesome for Blu-Ray technology

Not long ago, the producer and mastermind of the MSG series, Hideo Kojima, announced that one of the most highly anticipated games this year was too big for a 50GB Dual-Layer Blu-Ray disc. They’ve been cutting and compressing parts of the game just to fit it on a single disc. Another problem is that they normally include both Japanese and English voices for those who prefer the original voice in Metal Gear games, but due to the massive size they’re only including local region voice-overs.

Because of its size, this will most likely be an amazing game.
